Sway – This Was Tomorrow
Following a handful of indie EP’s, “This Was Tomorrow” is the first full-length release by the California dreampop unit Sway. With musical contributions from the entire original four piece lineup, Sway is now in operation as a solo project of vocalist/guitarist/programmer Andrew Saks. As producer, Andrew has lovingly knitted a warm, comfy blanket of nostalgic daydreams and lamentations for an abandoned world of tomorrow. With this release, Andrew has begun his personal journey to write the soundtrack to his childhood memories. A unique fusion of the enigmatic effects heavy ether-guitar employed by the likes of Slowdive, Robin Guthrie, Cocteau Twins and the heavily nostalgic bleeps and bloops of 80s gaming consoles. Headphone-friendly chip-gaze that will bring a smile to the face of the shoegaze faithful that are looking for something fresh.
